SHINE, my first ever EP, releases on JUNE 20TH, and I’ll be celebrating with an EP Release Concert at Roxy 124 Street that same night! It’s a Thursday!

Waffelhouse will be opening and Kena León will be closing the night out with some great tunes and dancing!

There will be merch! There will be doughnuts! There will be good vibes! I’ll be playing with a live band- more details to come on that closer to!

My next single, the title track off the EP, SHINE, will be releasing on June 13th, so get out that calendar and mark it! June 13th and June 20th, we’re going to SHINE OUR LIGHTS together, sweet friends!

And if you forget, don’t even worry about it. I’m going to be SHOUTING IT OUT for the next month and a bit!

SEE YOU THERE!

My first single, Better Off, is out off my upcoming EP, SHINE!

This is a big day, and I am so proud of the work that Mike Robertson and I put into this music video. I am also super proud of the song that Jesse Northey and Steven Foster helped me create.

I’ll be making some big announcements in the coming days, so keep an eye out and in the meantime, I hope you enjoy my newest tune!

The music video can be found here:

Submitted my final report today to Edmonton Arts Council for the $25k grant I was awarded last May-

This grant allowed me to launch EllieHeath.com, and record 6 songs with Jesse Northey and Steve Foster for my EP, SHINE, which releases in June!

The grant also allowed me to shoot a music video for my first single, Better Off, which releases in 3 weeks on Friday, May 17th!

Get ready! There’s more where all that came from!

ARE YOU EXCITED OR ARE YOU EXCITED?!

Hey friends,

I’m thrilled to share that later this month, I’ll be hitting the stage for a SOLD OUT show at Rob Heath’s debut house concert, Symphony in the Clouds. It’s going to be an unforgettable night filled with music, magic, and maybe even a little mischief!

But wait, there’s more exciting news! Just one month from now, get ready for the release of my newest single, “Better Off”. Produced by the incredible talents of Jesse Northey and Steven Foster, this track is your next pop-rock break-up anthem. I’m already calling it—the song of early summer that will have you singing along and maybe even dancing your heartache away.

And don’t forget, you can also find me performing live on Monday nights with Die Nasty at the Varscona Theatre. It’s always a blast, and a guaranteed laugh!

Thank you so much for being here for the journey. Can’t wait to see many of you later this month and in the summer—let’s make some memories!

With love and cheer,

Ellie

Since recording with Jesse Northey and Steven Foster in late January, I have been working hard behind the scenes, figuring out next steps for the release of my upcoming EP, SHINE!

I’ve working with Claire Boning at Misfit Music Management, through their Artist Accelerator Program, to fine tune my plan for the release and to make sure that I’m putting my best foot forward when I release my tunes this Spring/Summer.

I’ve spoken with some super talented musicians, as I’ll be putting together a band for my release concert in June! It’s going to be a heck of a good time and I hope that you’ll join us!

In the meanwhile, I’m looking forward to FAVA’s FavaFest over the next couple weekends, celebrating Mike Robertson’s work on my music video for ‘Let It All In’.

We released the video last summer in the midst of a tour for my solo play, Fake n’ Bake, and so I’m glad to have the opportunity to sit down and celebrate it and see it shine on the big screen!

It’s a big, full life, the one I’m creating and living. Sometimes, I wonder if I should pick a lane. There’s always so much going on.

That being said, I don’t think I can or want to. Not right now.

So for now, it’s Everything, Everywhere, All at Once. One foot in front of the other, finding myself as an artist as I go.

What a treat to walk this journey and I hope you’ll join me along the way!

Sometimes, I cringe scrolling past old photos,

My past selves smiling back at me,

Wanting desperately to be liked,

I withhold my affection from their pleasing stares,

Scroll past without glancing at them,

Trying to disown them or pretend they didn’t exist,

Why am I so hard on them?

Expecting them to have known better,

Like they should’ve been perfect,

As though I’m perfect now,

It’s not fair to punish those women,

I should be thanking them,

For teaching me the lessons I know now,

They were brave enough to live through it all,

To take the hits and keeping getting back up,

To love, to care, to try new things,

They always tried their best,

My past selves made me who I am today.

Recently, I was looking through old photos and I saw my past selves in a different light than I am used to.

Instead of dwelling on the mistakes that I had made, I found myself celebrating the journey and all of the experiences I’ve had along the way.

I could see the light shining within even when the times were tough.

That’s worth stopping and looking at.

Jesse Northey and Steven Foster sent me the mixes for my upcoming EP this weekend and I had the pleasure of listening!

Shivers down my spine. Tears in my eyes. It was a joy to listen to!

I cannot wait to share what we collaborated on- these guys are HEROES in my mind!

The EP is coming your way this June! Hold onto your butts!
